Upgrade Information

All users of the original version of NFIRS 5 Alive software are encouraged to upgrade to the "10/07" release of the product. Here's a quick set of upgrade instructions:

1. Download the upgrade. Click here to link to the upgrade download.
2. Install the upgrade folder on your computer.
3. Quit your NFIRS 5 Alive application.
4. Replace the files and folders in your original installation folder with new files and folders of the same name. Remember: Never replace the "N5Alive.4dd" & "N5Alive.4dr" files. These are your data files.
5. Restart NFIRS 5 Alive checking for a new version date in the lower right corner.

All current users are also encouraged to download and review the demo of the latest version of NFIRS 5 Alive. Instructions for downloading may be found on the Free Demo page.

The latest version of NFIRS 5 Alive is now available. Documentation is complete. If your fire department has paid a support fee you may upgrade to the new version that includes Risk Analysis and GIS support. You may also upgrade if you enroll in a support plan.

 To receive a written support plan price quote click on the Price Quote page and complete the price quote form. A quote will be prepared and forwarded. Support may be paid by purchase order or by major credit card. Please email us mike@nfirs5.com if you have any support or upgrade questions.

 

Notifications of Upgrades and Training Opportunities

The NFIRS 5 Alive support plan includes upgrades and training opportunities. Many of these will be announced in the newsletter, but if you wish to make sure you receive notifications of all software upgrades and training opportunities sign-up in the "Receive our free newsletter" area below.

If you are already receiving our newsletter you will receive a link that will allow you to select additional upgrade and/or training notifications. If you are not on the newsletter list you will be added with the notification options you select.

 

Starting a Support Plan

If you would like to enroll in a support plan go to the Price Quote page. In the comments area request a support quote. A quotation will be prepared and emailed to you.

If you have paid support as part of your initial purchase a renewal invoice will be sent to you automatically.

If you wish to pay for support by credit card please let us know. An email invoice with a link to a secure on-line payment site will be created and forwarded.
