Maintenance Schedule

If you use NFIRS 5 Alive on a regular basis, it's best to run 4D Tools Compact about once every three or four months.  Compacting reduces the size of the data file and optimizes searches.

It's also a good idea to run 4D Tools Compact after a large record export.  For example, if you import 4 years of historical data into NFIRS 5 Alive, it might be a good time to Compact the data file.  This procedure will assure NFIRS 5 Alive remains operating at peak efficiency.
