Once a document has been saved it may be linked to other records in NFIRS 5 Alive. Select a linking option from the drop-down linking field.
Notice any document can be linked to any Incident, Colleague, Department, Vehicle or Member. When you select a link you will see a search screen that allows you to locate the specific record for linking. You will then be able to view a summary of linked documents within the record you selected.
Linking is a powerful tool. You can link investigative and witness reports to an Incident. You can link an annual report from another fire department with the Colleague record of the person who shared it with you. You can link accident and maintenance estimates to Vehicles and performance evaluations to Members.
